Are you up for a marvellous journey of discovery, travelling back to the world of 1000 years ago? Do you dare to meet the Vikings in Ribe, see how they live, work and hunt?
Ribe VikingeCenter makes your experience the focus. Here, you can touch and try for yourself. You'll be drawn into the atmosphere in the market square, where the Viking ship lies along the quay, and where the smith, wood turner, weaver, silversmith and potter work. You can meet the Viking chieftain and his family, visit his impressive farm and stroke all his animals. You can try shooting with a longbow, baking your own bread, carving your own knife, and you can be right up close when the falconers birds of prey dive down into the audience... seeking out a chunk of meat.

Always the first weekend in May. The Viking market at Ribe VikingeCenter is the ultimate Viking experience, with 300 Vikings, a giant market, music and fun, craftsmen, Icelandic horses and tough warriors. It doesn't get wilder than this.
